We are honored to have you as our clients. We appreciate your stellar Yelp, Google, and Facebook reviews, and we strive to do our best work for you. Besides an optimal tax return, we will actively assist you with wealth management. This document will provide you with the nuts and bolts of our tax season process.
Providing Tax Documents
Emailing us your paperwork or uploading it to your provided link would ensure fastest turnaround. We will email missing data or questions as soon as our team begins preparation. We request that you give us your package when it is at 90% complete (like waiting for a K1 or a specific investment report). Upon completion of the return, we will provide you a detailed summary of the results and suggestions for next year.
Appointment
Clients with BIG complicated tax returns will be asked to meet with us. Unless there are big changes from your financial situation, we do not require a meeting.
Missing Data
Once we start your tax return, we will email you for missing information. Please respond to us within 3-5 days. After our 2nd email, your tax return will be put on hold and no longer has priority status. We strive to do our best work for you and that includes completion time. Tax returns with multiple reminders require additional resources and will be priced accordingly.
Payment
We do not accept credit cards. For fee payment, you can pay via Venmo or Zelle to info@buitaxology.com. We also accept checks /cash. All tax prep fee must be paid to E-file.
Completed Tax return
You will receive an email informing you that we have completed your tax return. To proceed with E-file, follow our steps for signatures and payment. If you owe, be sure to mail in voucher or pay online to IRS / FTB. After E-file, we will email you a confirmation once IRS / FTB accepts your tax return (3-5 days after E-file).
Turnaround Time
Our tax return turnaround is 2-3 weeks. Tax data submitted to us after March 18 will likely be extended with $150 extension fee. Please email us at info@buitaxology.com for any questions. It is also the best way to reach Bui Taxology.
